MUSEUM OFFERS REGIMENTAL HISTORY FOR SALE

To mark the 2007 moving of the Royal Artillery’s home from Woolwich to Wiltshire, Firepower, The Royal Artillery Museum has produced a handsome collection of commemorative crystal and china items to mark the move. All of these classic items feature a representation of a section the magnificent and famous Georgian façade of the historic Royal Artillery Barracks Woolwich. The commemorative items include crystal decanters, tankards, chalices and whiskey tumblers as well as fine bone china mugs and limited edition plates.

“The Royal Regiment of Artillery had been based at Woolwich since 1716, so this year’s move was most significant” says Eileen Noon, The Museum’s Chief Operating Officer “Our exclusive commemorative merchandise marks the handing on of the Regiment’s 291-year association with Woolwich to the Museum. We have already sold items to local residents, former gunners and historians who were keen to mark the event. Also when you buy these items from The Museum, your purchase is making a direct contribution to the conservation and preservation of Royal Artillery and Woolwich history.”

These items are only available from the Museum in person, online at
www.firepower.org.uk/shop or by phone on 0208 312 7134. Firepower, The Royal Artillery Museum, Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, London, SE18 6ST.
